What a interesting question! (✿◠‿◠)
It's fun to see how other people play. But most definitely for me I create sims that don't have much of a connection to me or the real world, in terms of their actual names and character. But when I thought about the question deeper, I realised that I put a little bit of my own personality in each sim. I find it interesting to create sims made with my imagination, in fact I think I actually have a preference for Create-A-Sim. I've always enjoyed making sims and thinking of a story for them, I do take inspiration from the real world of course. A little bit like writing a book I suppose! But that's why I've always had a love for the sims, the fact you can use your imagination to create whatever you want. I love a good story, always have. There's nothing like some healthy escapism! whether it's your favourite book, video game, TV show or movie. ❤(●'◡'●)❤

Thanks :D
I get it. For me, it really depends, but I do enjoy creating stuff based on tv shows or at least something I can recognize. I think the hardest thing is actually recreating your own house though. So, I can't blame ya for wanting to create something unique, where you don't need to care about what people look like, or what the house is located or what's inside.- Missie_Kate2 years agoSeasoned Hotshot
@Midevil_Chaos I completely forgot to add that I'm actually inspired by my real life in a way because I make my sims with inspiration from my favorite fiction and such. (mental lapse😂).
But I usually in the end create sims that I actually like (I forgot to add that). even if I start off with a idea to make a sim completely unlikeable, then in the end I'm like...I love this sim even though they are the town "THIS IS INAPPROPRIATE PLEASE STOP" sim leading on to the "I'M GOING TO HAVE TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE NOW" sim. I still end up having a soft spot for them, then they end up being a never aged up sim, and a literal permanent fixture in my world. 🤣 Being perfectly honest that's probably the trend in my gameplay, all my beloved sims never age up!
Happy Simming (✿◠‿◠)

Indeed! That is a way of doing things. Actually, this reminds me of the original Neverwinter Nights game released in the early 2000s. You could literally make a stupid character, and when they would talk to an important NPC, some of those pretty outright called my character stupid lol, since I had not enough points placed in the Intelligence category. I can imagine you do exactly something similar to that, where the sim is someone you wanna say to, "duuuuuuuuude, what are you doing?"
