- The soundscape in Sims 4 is fabulous, even to the point of different shoes making different sounds on different surfaces. I'd miss that if I was listening to someone else. The sound is great for immersion.

I get sleepy , listening to just the sims . In fact i become bored much more quickly. Once I started listening to narrations of stories and stuff it saved my "simming". But I see what you mean <3- XxAirixX7 years agoSeasoned AceI keep the volume on and sometimes will watch tv (especially if just in cas or building), I have turned off music for cas, build, etc....because of glitches.
- wildirishbanshee7 years agoSeasoned AceMusic off, volume on. And by music, I mean loading screen/CAS/BB. I will occasionally listen to a podcast or attempt to watch TV, but usually, it's just me and the game sounds!
- I can't handle not having the volume. Without volume I can't here a baby or toddler crying or listen to my Sims play music. Also, seeing mouths move and not hearing anything drives me crazy. I have to have my headphones in so that there is sound. I need sound. They game is just less satisfying without it. Also, it really does make caring for children harder without sound. I know the icon changes colors based on their distress, but it is easier just being able to hear it and know.
- Volume on and earphones. Especially love the sound of rain and thunderstorms.
- I tend to go between only listening to my game, and having the volume low while listening to music, maybe a podcast. I really love the sounds of the game though. Except for when babies cry. I zoom like, all the way out as fast as possible so I can take care of it while also not hearing it ?
- I usually only turn the volume off and listen to music when I’m building or in CAS.
- I keep all sounds on except music at times. One those occasions, I open Spotify and use a playlist that fits the type of game. For instance, I am currently playing a medieval town so I have a Renaissance playlist as well as a Game of Thrones playlist. I have the Spotify volume low enough that it does not interfere with my game sounds, yet high enough that it really adds to the atmosphere.
- I usually shut of the music and sound effects in the game and play my own music in the background
