Do you play the sims with volume off? Or listen to shows, podcasts or music while playing?

I was really surprised the first time i learned that some players like to have volume off while playing sims. But now I like to listen to other stuff while I play the game. I dont usually turn the sound off completely unless Im in build mode or CAS.

But, I do like to turn the volume really low and listen to some true crime or horror fiction while i play.

    Volume off and most times Im streaming my fav twitch streamer HollieBB, if not switch then im watching various sims 4 youtubers

    reading some of these posts I decided to try and play with the volume on to see what I was missing. then I remembered that I'm playing the 100 baby challenge and the reason why I turn it off is because all I can ever hear is screaming babies

    I have the music disabled and usually play with the in-game sounds on low while I listen to podcasts or audio books. But sometimes I prefer to just listen to the game, it depends on what my sims are doing and which world I'm playing in.

    personally, im not missing out on a thing. i started listening to other things while playing because just the game alone, is not enough. Even when Im having a lot of fun I feel sleepy unless i have other things keeping me entertained also. I like to turn the volume low enough to still hear, but focus primarily on whatever audio story im listening to.

    I sometimes listen to other things but mostly I just play in silence with no sound haha. Managing 7 kids /tots /babies at a time usually takes all my concentration and I can't focus on anything else I try to listen to haha

    I keep my volume on so I know what is going on in my game, but I like to either listen to music or have a speed build or other sims related youtube video on in the background. It depends on whether I'm actively playing or building.

    I might watch or listen to something else if I'm building or doing something in CAS, but at times I do enjoy listening to the game's music. But for gameplay, I like to be immersed and I always play with volume on and always on regular speed, except to speed through the night when the sims are all sleep.

    I keep the volume on because I like a lot of the ambient sounds on some lots - especially lots on the island in Windenburg where many of my Sims live. Almost every house gets windchimes too.
