I've been doing a lot of screenshots lately so that means using headlineeffects on/off which is really annoying to type in with a controller on console. So I've noticed that I'm keeping it turned off more and more frequently. I think it makes the game look better without having the iconic plumbob visible all of the time. However, that means I can't tell how my sims are feeling at a glance, and can't get the mouse over info on other objects. That means that I can only guess by my bees behavior what mood they're in, don't know if the plant I'm focusing on is identified or not and many other things. So I just have to guess and take my chances. But, I'm not complaining because it adds a new level of play to the game. How about with you? On or off with Headlineeffects? Why?

I edit the game file to just turn off the plumbbobs so I can see other headings.It stays that way permanently and I only have to re-do it when there's a game update.

Yes, all of these reasons are what I'm talking about. On console, you have to use the onscreen keyboard to type in the cheat so it gets extremely annoying to do screenshots. So I've actually started playing more with it off. Now, when I see a Sim walking by, I don't know any details about them so the only way I can find out is through interaction. That's actually making my sim more social.What is the quality of that meal? Don't know, take a bite and find out. Are the Beatles hungry? Try to feed them and see. Are the bees irritated? Don't know, bond with them just in case. Do you already have that plant? Don't know, pick it and see.So yeah, without the headlineeffects, my Sim is actually interacting more. There are times when it's annoying but those times are getting less and less as I adjust.

I rarely turn them off. I can usually crop out a plumbob.

also no tab doesn't hide plumbob on pc either

Sometimes I do providing that I can remember to do so. But if I don't turn them off, then I will try to position the camera angle to try to hide the plumbob.

For the most part, I keep them on. I usually just select another household member that's not going to be in the screenshot. If it's a family picture, I'll turn headline effects off.

Always on. I just work around it for screenshots, it's quite easy to do, usually.

Always off, I edit the default.ini file so the plumbob is invisible (set the numbers farthest to the right for to 0). I take so many screenshots in games and I don't want the plumbob to be visible.
