I've been doing a lot of screenshots lately so that means using headlineeffects on/off which is really annoying to type in with a controller on console. So I've noticed that I'm keeping it turned off ...

Yes, all of these reasons are what I'm talking about. On console, you have to use the onscreen keyboard to type in the cheat so it gets extremely annoying to do screenshots.
So I've actually started playing more with it off. Now, when I see a Sim walking by, I don't know any details about them so the only way I can find out is through interaction. That's actually making my sim more social.
What is the quality of that meal? Don't know, take a bite and find out. Are the Beatles hungry? Try to feed them and see. Are the bees irritated? Don't know, bond with them just in case. Do you already have that plant? Don't know, pick it and see.
So yeah, without the headlineeffects, my Sim is actually interacting more. There are times when it's annoying but those times are getting less and less as I adjust.
