Do you play with headline effects on or off?
I've been doing a lot of screenshots lately so that means using headlineeffects on/off which is really annoying to type in with a controller on console. So I've noticed that I'm keeping it turned off ...

Headline effects are the plumbob over a sim's head, or if you mouse over a sim and you see their name pop up over their head. To turn it off all you need to do is turn on testing cheats. Then type in 'headlineeffects off' and there will be no plumbob over a selected sim's head and no popups over a sim or object when you mouse over them/it in 'live' mode.
As a SimLit writer the first thing I do after entering the game is turn off headline effects with WonderfulWhims. I want my screenshots to be 'clean', no plumbobs or names above a sim's head. That's my choice. It's neither right or wrong. Some storytellers leave headline effects on and that's perfectly okay. It's fiddly having to type in that cheat or to go through WW to turn off plumbobs and such and I get why some simmers don't bother with it and let plumbobs show.
