- Rambley_Raccoon7 years agoRising TravelerI listen to the music very rarely-in fact,I have the sound muted98 percent of the time because I find the Sims 4 soundtracks to be boring. I often choose to listen to different kids of CDs while I'm playing Sims 4.
- GalacticGal7 years agoLegendI found I have to have the sound on. I learned this when our house got infested with Field Mice and the little devils chewed through my exterior speakers and my printer cord! After trying to play Sims2 without sound, I managed to get myself a pair of headphones. Had to buy a new pair, as it turned out, since my youngest son had absconded with the pair I kept in my desk drawer! I simply didn't have as much fun playing.
Mostly, these days, I have talk radio on in the background, so I keep my game relatively low. I found that wearing headphones isn't for me. It left me feeling totally cut-off from the outside world. But, I need the sounds from the game. I just do. - Yes, I do.
- Music is off.
- heatherjp7 years agoRising HotshotI always play with the sound on, I feel I don't get the full experience otherwise.
- I play sound off with trap music in background.

Unless I'm in CAS or Build/Buy mode, then sound is on. I can't stand playing with the sound off, especially now that we have weather and I can listen to thunderstorms
I have to admit that the thunderstorms are a good reason to change my behavior and turn the game sound on more often.
Now I can understand why my former main charcter (now deceased) was so afraid of them.
(her daughter, my new main character, isn't afraid of them, however, but she was a girl scout and therefore used to being exposed to the weather)- DeKaythePUNK7 years agoLegendI play with the sound on.
I only turn off the music if I'm gonna spend hours in build mode. - thatsnotsweg7 years agoSeasoned AceI play with sound unless I'm in CAS or build mode.
- I play with sound on, even if I'm building for hours. The music has its own vibe and fits with the game imo. Only put the voices lower in live mode because I can't stand hearing them talk so loudly most of the time
