Do you prefer homes with clutter or without?

I'm okay with surface clutter -- decorative stuff in the kitchen (as long as there's an empty counter for food prep) or on end tables/coffee tables. I don't like floor clutter though because I want my Sims to have clear paths. Plus all that clutter adds up in the lot cost; I'll place a house then go through and delete all the unnecessary items to make the house affordable; I can always add it back later when my Sims have extra money.
