No clutter basically - a few wall pictures and some plants - but that's about it unless my sims a collector or archeologist. Clutter is often used in conjunction with MOO and moo is very problematic cheat that was originally a testing cheat made for boolprop which is no longer used. Testing cheats are usually not a good thing to keep active in your playable game - it can create unforeseen lag issues among other things - so staying away from clutter and MOO is a better choice.
Add to that in my real life I have zero clutter in my house as clutter is a dust collector and I need a dust free environment so I am used to no clutter any way. THat lived in look so many people mention actually look - well cluttered and messy to me.
