Do you prefer homes with clutter or without?

I'm just curious what people's thoughts on clutter are. Clutter is referring to all those things in build mode that are unusable and serve no function but only serve a visual purpose.

Some people say it helps a home feel more lived-in and others say it makes the homes look like a mess. What is your preference?

  • I love clutter as long as it doesn't get in the way and breaks paths or makes other objects unusable. I just feel it makes the house feel more real and alive instead of looking pristine and untouched.
  • I don't think I've ever deliberately decorated with clutter, and it's usually the first thing I delete when I download from the gallery. I feel like my houses get "cluttered" with stuff as it is, I don't need to "pre-clutter". Plus, I hate having useless, generic stuff lying around. I prefer to "clutter" naturally as I go in the game--eventually all my sims houses end up covered in art and woodworking and prizes from parties and careers...things my sim made or earned in the game, and therefor means something. What's the point of a generic pile of towels taking up space that my sim can't even interact with?
