While short release is entertaining and I think an awesome idea for GPs and SPs (although I feel Strangerville could have used another week), I think it would be wise to announce EPs further in advance.
Why?
I think they should take the feedback in speculation to "flesh out" the pack, such as a last minute sync to go well with another EP/GP/SP, add last minute objects and swatches, rabbit hole careers, etc. Little things simmers hope that is in the pack.
Also, it takes a while for me to make an excuse for my sims to use some of the EPs, like Get Famous for example. My kid sims need to grow up a bit first and I can prep my story in the meantime. I'm finally fitting Get Famous gameplay naturally in my story (I know, I play slow lol).
