Do you remember the first time you played a sims game?

I was a kidlet when The Sims 1 came out. My mum and I saw an ad on TV and both went "we need this game" :D My first time was playing a family with two kids. I must've spent too much on the house or something, because I could barely feed them. Maybe two/three days in, the husband died of starvation while taking the trash out. A sim walking past mourned his death for hours. I learnt about cheats after that!
