Chris Carter, I think. He had the backstory of being born rich, so I could use the money cheat and go explore the town instead of being stuck in a stupid job all day. Sims 1 was really restrictive in what you could do without a lot of cheats and mods to work around. The way needs decayed was annoyingly over the top.
By comparison, my first Sim in Sims 4, Mackenzie Tester, hasn't needed any cheats at all. And I can still have her test and explore everything in the game without needing to be tied to a time sink job. But I do kinda miss being able to add in the backstory of being a rich kid to justify loading up a new Sim with a ton of cash. :D
