Huh. I find I have all the time I need with long Sims.
Then again, I don't actively seek out a familial lifestyle unless it is what my Sim already has an aspiration for. Though I do have some eight man households and BOY OH BOY, chaos reigns.
And I play randomized rotational so sometimes I hop from single-sim, to family, to my eight-man cohabituation and enjoy the varied gameplay.
