Do You Tell Your Parents...

I usually share what happens in my game with anyone who will listen lol.

Yep, I usually tell my mum when something interesting happens or ask her opinion on things like which wallpaper or hair colour to go with if I can't decide on something lol

I meeean... They know there's a lot of drama happening in my game. They also know that I'm posting it on the forums. They know that people are actually reading it and are lowkey proud of that although they'd prefer if I actually wrote books instead. But overall no, they have no idea of what's going on :tongue:

My mother couldn't care less, I think...and would probably be very surprised, and a bit bored, if I called her to talk about sims. Its not something we talk about. Not even my brother, who also plays, is very interested unless something extraordinary happens.

Yep. My Mum's a simmer too, so we swap stories all the time. <3 My brother plays occasionally and I haven't spoken to my Dad for over 4 years.

I talk a lot about The Sims to my mother. From how the game works to what has happenend in my game.

@wylmite1986 My mom is going to be 75 next year. I don't talk to her about the games I play. The less she knows about what happens in my life the better I have always believed. I talk to her to see if she is ok and if she needs anything done around her home. My dad, on the other hand, I do talk to occasionally about games I play because he is a gamer himself. He's the one who got me hooked on the first Sims game and I have been a fan of the franchise since.

However, my niece who is the closest I have to a "mini-me" and I always talk about games we are playing, cons, anime, music, k-dramas, j-dramas etc or whoever she is dating at the time and more. It's good to be the "crazy auntie". If anything we are constantly sharing good games to play or dramas to watch because our personalities are very much alike.

Sometimes I tell my boyfriend. He tells me about his game and we both act mildly interested in these situations. I don't really talk about games with my parents, except sometimes about pokemon go. They don't get it, but are happy that I need to go outside to play.

I was telling my husband about things that happened in my game last week and he said (jokingly), "You know they're not real people, right?" While I do know that, I thought it was bizarre that my sim had just been abducted by aliens for the 3rd time and I just needed to tell someone.
