- I am not that optimistic, but I'd happily be wrong.

it kinda seems like it?
The title sounds like a vacation world but I don't think they'd make an EP vacation world plus we just got a destination world with SW:JTB, so I think it might be introducing a new lot type like resort or hotel, which maybe only available in the new world (like beaches are for Sulani).
It would make the most sense to me...hopefully we'll find out more soon.
Oh i hope not. Please bring me systems that apply to all the worlds ?- atreya33Seasoned AceNot sure but I definitely hope so. After all this seems to be the first vacation themed expansion pack so there has to be something more than in the vacation game packs.
- Peapod79New SpectatorIt's called "Snowy ESCAPE". To me that means you vacation there. However, vacation worlds of the past were never a full EP. To give it that EP value, I feel like they will have some sort of new hotel/resort system. It would be nice too if that can apply to all the worlds and we can build them anywhere. I'm also hopeful that it will add the functionality of being able to live or vacation in any world, but that might be shooting a bit high. ;)
- Since I was actually right (it happens sometimes) about the winter-themed world, I'm going whole-hog and guessing that we'll get the hotels I predicted, as well. However, as @Simmingal points out, they might be more like Ryokans, which sound as if they could use some of the coding from the dorms in University.
Personally, I have no desire to manage a hotel or visit one with my Sims, but I know it's a huge winner for a lot of Simmers, so good for them, and it'll be good for sales of the EP. In any case, a Japanese theme would be awesome for BB. Looking forward to the trailer. - evilyn_37Rising AdventurerI think resorts/Hotel if they ever come will be a GP. But I think we might be able to finally place rental lots in livable worlds.
- I don’t have any desire to run a hotel but I do think we should have them as a community lot type to build in any world we want and to have our sims stay in.
- dianed485New ScoutHotels probably, resorts no. I mean people were angry after Island Living because there were no hotels (or even rentals) in Sulani, that was a missed opportunity and it would be a shame if they did the same mistake again.
- GalacticGalSeasoned AceMaybe. That's my vote. I've slowly come to the notion that what we hope will be in a certain pack, quickly dies when its released and we learn it isn't at all what what described. Now, I hope I don't sound too cynical, but I'm fast getting there. I have played the Sims since Sims2, August 2005. I bought EVERY pack that game offered, and a very few items from the Store. (There was a special high chair you could put the baby in and baby could play, also a play mat for the floor, where baby could play, too.)
I wizened up with Sims3, when the promises made weren't exactly kept. My gaming rig also had a very hard time with that game, so I only purchases two, maybe three of the Stuff Packs, as I wanted to ensure room for the Expansion Packs, which is where you would only get actual gameplay and possibly more interactions. I kept awaiting certain interactions we had in Sims2, that never came.
With Sims4 I purchased the Base Game, but was skeptical when it was announced Toddlers wouldn't be in the released game. This was just a few days prior to release. The only thing that kept me from cancelling my pre-order was the verbiage used in said announcement, leaving me hope that Toddlers (when they'd had enough time to complete them as they desired) would return. And they were. Also, I promised I wouldn't spend another red cent on this iteration if the Sims, themselves, weren't as entertaining as they had been in Sims2. (They weren't fun in Sims3, part of the reason I had a love/hate relationship with that iteration.)
But, these Sims, while not the same in quirkiness as those in Sims2, are fun. At least in my game. But there are five packs, thus far, I have not purchased, nor do I intend to. I'm just happy that what appears to be in this newest pack has drawn my interest again.
I will wait for more information, but for now it's a solid, hopeful MAYBE. - well after seeing the trailer which just made my jaw drop btw look ok wow im exited. there doesnt seem to be any hotels
