Do you think than Cats and Dogs will be the only pack to include pets?

Sincerelly as there are only 2 pets and it added a pet category at CAS (as well occuult category than for now has Alien and Vampire) Im sure than will be more packs than will add more pets. Maybe a GP than include an occult and a related pet (dogs yet was included at C&D, then cant come at a Werewolves GP)

I think there might be horses and they will go into the CAP section. I'm not sure if we'll be able to personally customise any other types of pets we get.
  • I would love it if animals was something we could expect in every pack like we kinda do with new deaths, lifestates, woohoo spots, etc. I'd be fine if they weren't super advanced. But it would be cool if they added llamas to the adventure pack (if it's set in south America), then maybe some farm animals in a farm pack, rabbits in a magic pack etc etc.
  • I'm hoping for some smaller pets like Guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, turtles, hamsters, rats stuff like that. I rly miss the guinea pigs from the sims2/3 and the birds as well.

I could see a Small Animals pack -- there was discussion of doing an SP with small animals instead of adding them to C&D so the devs would be able to do the Vet Career. And if we get a rural/farming pack it could include rabbits as pets, but if you neglect them they get out of their pen and eat your garden plants (or maybe your neighbor's garden which would give a hit to your relationship). Depends what direction they want to go with the game.

As for other occults, I'd like to see a pack where any Sim can learn magic, sort of a modern reboot of Makin' Magic from the original The Sims. For me that would offer more game play options than if magic was only limited to a special "witch" category. You could even have aliens and vampires who could study magic to enhance their existing talents.
  • I can actually see them making a game pack focused around horses or a farm expansion that has horses in it as well. (Especially the farm ep, since it has been talked about a lot here on the forums).
I do wish they would add smaller animals with time (parrots, turtles, hamsters and etc).
  • I think we may see small pets that are basically decorations, like hamsters. I think that would have been a cute addition to parenthood- the kids can gain responsibility from feeding the hamster and cleaning the cage.

I don't think they would make a pack that has to do with dogs/cats, as it requires that people own Pets (and I don't think stuff packs usually depend on people owning pre-requisite packs). However, a small pets system could be completely separate from Pets in that it wouldn't require you to own Pets to play. It could be a small collection of interactive object "pets" along with the usual decorative objects we usually get in a stuff pack, rather than modifying the existing dogs/cats which require animations, routing, detailed interactions with Sims, etc.
  • There was a survey with a pack with smaller pets like birds and reptiles, and they would be breedable. I really want that as I love birds and reptiles in my sims games, and they were missing from cats & dogs. I think at some point they will do a farm life game pack or expansion, as this is so requested by the community, so then maybe they'll introduce horses, but who knows really...
