There are things in all the games that keep me interesting and I don't think TS4 is a failure but it does need things that previous games had but I think that will all come in time. Like I miss that sims can eat on beds and talk with other sims so I love the multitasking. When I go back to TS3 I miss it. But I miss weather I miss bowling alleys. I can totally agree. I (like you) believe Seasons and Pets and Night Life and maybe even Toddlers will come in the future. Think back to Sims 3 base game compared to the Sims 4 base
Open world? Terrain tools? CASt? Toddlers?
ETA: ghosts? Family trees? Pools?
But they improved the create-a-sim and later (not long after) added in pools with a new update
You said basegame ;) They improved CAS but I don't play the game in CAS. I'm not kidding, to give Sims 4 a fair chance I felt obliged to buy a few additions because the basegame felt completely empty. That wasn't the case for me with Sims 3.
