Do you think we'll ever get another free world?

I feel like Newcrest was a one-off thing. It would be nice if we did, though.

I would guess not. They only added Newcrest (which is a clone of Willow Creek) because they were getting a ton of backlash against the game for the small number of lots available, and because their first expansion added a measly 4 new lots in total.

Now they use worlds as a marketing blurb for expansion packs.

Newcrest is a clone of Willow Creek?

Yes. They made some minor alterations to the decorative environment, but the layout of each neighborhood in Newcrest is still identical to the neighborhood it was cloned from in Willow Creek.

No, Newcrest was a one time thing. They aren't going to keep adding worlds to base game since there isnt much outrage about space anymore. Any future worlds we may get outside of packs will be separately available DLC you'll pay for. Probably costing the same as, or coming in the form of, Gamepacks.

I'm surprised they didn't continue selling worlds like they did for The Sims 3, because I can imagine they would sell like hot cakes!

On the other hand, however, I can also see why they don't, because I can imagine that these worlds take a long time to make, especially if they want them to look on par with worlds like Brindleton Bay and Windenberg... it is a shame though

We can always use new worlds! Also, no - I doubt we will. However, we got Brindleton Bay and Selvadorada within a fairly short amount of time. I expect we'll get a world with Seasons towards the end of the year and perhaps another, slightly smaller world with the next GP.

I wouldn't mind being able to buy worlds, similar as to the Sims3. Cannot be as expensive though as it's not a full-on open world.

I think that if they do offer "create-a-world", it'll be around the end of TS4's development since it is true that the worlds are major selling features for the new packs.

I'm someone who fills up all of the worlds and who plays with all of them in an integrated save. I'm sure that if something happens and I switch away from this save, I'll start again with a simplified game or a different theme. Anyway, the way that I play now, I use all of the worlds.

I can always use some more space. I'd definitely play with a new blank world if it were released. I'm also interested to see new themes such as the Mediterranean, tropical beaches and the Alps/in the mountains.With the release of JA, I'd also be interested in an African safari or another adventure in SE Asia or a TS4 version of Egypt. Obviously, I'd expect to pay for those.

I'd be happy to see them release another free extension of basic space though to extend a theme that we already have such as a blank extension of Selvadorada's town (minus all the jungle action in JA - just as a way to build on the GP).
