Do you upgrade old homes and sims with new pack content?

I always update my main household outfits and home, as long as the new content is in keeping with how I picture them. If there's a new community lot type or item, then I will add that somewhere too, but again it has to fit the rest of the world e.g. empty lot becomes restaurant, park now has swings etc.
