I've never purposefully kill my sims, but accidents do happen sometimes, like a kitchen fire or accidental drowning in the sea, and townies sometimes freeze to death. I understand when there is a blizzard, but most recently Nina Caliente froze to death in Oasis Springs while going on the water slide and it wasn't even snowing outside. In retrospect I think maybe she was bugged because she was on that waterslide the entire day.
Aha, my sims hardly ever go for a swim in the sea... I didn't even know they could drown accidently... guess some swimming is coming up, would be more fun if I did not decide what sims should take that risk, though...
Re Nina freezing--- I play on rotation, and I some times get that message when entering a house. I always thought that the sim in question had been seen actively in Winter (or at a Winter location) as a NPC the last time, and when I entered that sim was sill affected by that previous location/setting. It would be better if the game did reset them when we arrive their household. In my case they normalize rather quickly, or I might have canceled out their "freezing to death" moodlet.
