Do your sims ever die unexpectedly?

As a long time Simmer, including being a devotee to TS4, I can say that my Sims have only died unexpectedly exactly two times.
The first was a humor and hijinks festival. Death by hysteria. I was so stunned. The funny part was when my Nan arrived just as the Sims were all mourning etc. and I must have had a weird look on my face when I went to greet her. She says "What have you been doing? Killing Sims?" :p
The second time was more recent. It happened to a Sim just as I was furnishing his new apartment. I wanted to see the colour swatches of the murphy bed ... it crushed him. It wasn't as completely unexpected, I knew the murphy bed could be fatal, but come on! I hadn't even begun playing yet!!
and that is the two times my Sims have unexpectedly died.
