For the mod users in this thread, I recently learned that a modder by the name of scumbumbo, on Mod The Sims, has come out of retirement. He has introduced a new mod, the
Self-Configurable Autonomy Mod (SCAM). This mod "allows players to alter the autonomy for actions in the game, while it is running. Changes take effect immediately, there is no need to exit and reload the game!" So you can stop any autonomous actions from happening, and there is no limit. MCCC has quite a few of the really annoying ones, but you can't stop them in game by clicking on Sims/objects, and you have to reload. Scumbumbo says he has used his mod with MCCC as well. He is a long time modder, and mods that I have used of his have been stable.
He has also updated a few older mods, so keep an eye out if you used some of them. His newest mod prevents washing dishes in bathrooms.
