I wonder why everything has to be a secret with this game.......? Why aren’t we allowed to know what EP/GP we will have far in advance , when they are already working on it? It’s just nonsensical.
if they announced all 3 packs that were coming in the beginning all the simmers who didn't want those things wouldn't stick around. imagine the negative reaction to them saying the first expansion is eco lifestyle, stuff pack is knitting and the gamepack is star wars. simmers would be angry months before those packs come out and not even give them a chance. where as if they keep everything a secret up until a few weeks before release they have more of a chance to convince people to buy the pack.- paigeisin55 years agoSeasoned AceThe one thing that bothers me is the fact the upcoming game pack was supposed to be about something we have never seen before. We already have aliens, an alien world and space travel, so what else could the devs add to those that would be totally new and unexpected? But if new gameplay is stacked on top of what we already have, wouldn't that be considered as additions to existing features? That is not adding anything new and unexpected to the game. My opinion, not fact, so don't be offended if you're a fan of the Star Wars franchise. I have seen every Star Wars movie ever made, too. But that doesn't mean the Star Wars concept is capable of being integrated into Sims4 without losing a lot of what makes Star Wars special to it's millions of fans. And a game pack lacks the kind of depth that would be needed to bring a true Star Wars experience to life in the Sims4. My fear is we'd get a watered down and shallow version that will end up being very disappointing. And Simmers will end up angry because so much was left out. After twenty years of playing this game, I think they will have a tough time finding a theme that hasn't been explored in one way or another over the years. I have no idea what that silly icon means, but I do know I will give this type of pack a resounding no. I have been a fan of Star Wars since the very beginning, and have no intention of playing a poorly done and shallow version of it in Sims4.

Remember when everyone thought farming was happening and everyone starting being happy for it or complaining? We could be wrong here too.
But i do want to see farming. I also want a space pack, just not star wars. And id rather it be an expansion.
actually these are my exact sentiments. people were disappointed about eco-living because they were duped into believing we were getting farming and had their expectations set for that only for it to be a complete 180. I fear folks are doing the same here. Even going so far as to actually refer to it as the SW pack. this could backfire in a major way. I'm just going to patiently wait. Hopefully, the trailer drops next week and we finally know.- Horrorgirl65 years agoSeasoned Ace

That what I'm partly afraid of. - AedanStarfang5 years agoSeasoned VeteranIt's really not Maxis' fault that its fanbase is fooled by frauds wanting to shill their own mod(s), the wait and see approach has always been the best approach but a little speculating isn't hurting anyone.

- RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned AceI realized everyone is making the assumption that the logo we saw is for the NEXT pack. Assuming it wasn’t an intentional leak and that EA works on packs for months before release, we could very well get a winter pack or some such next, and then a Star Wars (or whatever with that logo) pack for Christmas.

Quite possible. We only know that it's got this strange logo and that it's a game pack (from the location in the leak). We don't know that it's the next game pack. - RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned Ace

Ah, I missed the fact that we know it's a game pack based on its position. So it probably is the next pack. - crocobaura5 years agoLegendWhat if the logo icon we saw was just a placeholder and it's not related to the next pack in any way? Though why would marketing people who update the Sparked sitepage would have access to a pack that was still in development?
