Does anyone else think the thunder is really loud!?

I just went to play TS4. I find the music and sounds are quiet compared to other games, so I always turn my speakers up much louder for TS4. I have a good set of M-Audio monitoring speakers so they go quite loud. Anyways, I got into the game and the first thing that happened when getting into the world is a huge burst of the sound of thunder blasting through my speakers. It made me jump in my chair lol! I swear the thunder is like 3 times louder than any other sound in the game.

  • I think it's awesome! And the first time Anders was struck by lightning, I jumped about 3 feet! The house 2 doors over was actually struck by lightning a couple of years ago, and it sounded like that!

I love that realism. I love the weather in Windendburg. It's just like the weather where I live, and the crickets chirping in the early autumn evening outside the Munch house, the moths chasing each other in the dim streetlamp, are so immersive.

The cow plant is also very frightening. Having someone stand next to and try to pet, feed, and play with those, makes me glad they don't actually exist. If you haven't been close to a cow plant with good headphones on, it's unnerving.

It's the best part of seasons!!! I thrive in thunderstorms and love the loud noise (in game) ???
Don't give them any ideas. Next thing you know my precious thunderstorms are nerfed ?
Right? Everyone...shhhh! *paranoid glance around, hasty retreat*

  • Yes, and now it does not rain in my game. I play late into night and it scared me one night so I turned it off. It was when Sulani first came out.
  • I don't have Seasons for Sims 4, but if it's anything like in Sims 3 I know that feeling. Like christ one time I made the mistake of holding a capri sun between my thighs during a thunderstorm....I don't want to talk about the aftermath

They may sound frightening, but the cowplant is gentle beast. They even offer you free cake, who could turn down free cake.
  • The thunder ambient sounds are so amazing that they scared my cat. He's afraid of thunderstorms and lightning. I was playing one night, loving the weather effects and suddenly I see him slinking by, looking for a place to hide, lol. I felt bad so I have to keep the game turned down now when it's raining if he's nearby so I don't terrify him. :D
