I have a tendency to dress my teens in clothing that is of a wilder taste than YAs might have, plus hairstyles most self-respecting YA Sims wouldn't be caught dead in. Teens can be tall in RL. While girls often reach their full height by age 16, guys can keep growing until 21. I'm well aware there are many who dislike how the teens look in this game, but I have to say the teens were far too short to be driving in Sims3. To me, they appeared to be no older than 12-14. The best solution would be to add in the shorter teens and have them age-up again midway through the teen stage.
