does anyone have any advice on how to make teens believeable for me?

I like to give teens the more crazier hairstyles with colours and odd cuts. I also tend to make 3 types of teen. Rebels/rockers, preppy/jock, and geeky/awkward.
I also make arts centers and places for them to hang out and create teen clubs and such. There's always at least 3 teen clubs in my saves based on their different styles and likes.
I can illustrate everything better tomorrow when I'm on my computer if you like. And show you some of my teens and their friends.
