Does anyone let their kids stay home from school or do a 3-day weekend?

Odd, I never let my children/teens have days off. Regarding the sick situation, it just automatically does it for me. It will usually say something along the lines of "Timmy is feeling really sick today. Perhaps he should take the day off." (Something along those lines. I don't control it, they just end up staying at home themselves. That's about it.) Now I feel like I owe them some days off. Poor little ones haha. They're probably exhausted.
