Those are great questions! And especially the play test one!
For me, IF I use a gallery build I almost always download it unfurnished.
The terrain tools are going to make it tougher to get a good build that is fully functional. I downloaded one I liked and a staircase disappeared and there was no way for me to add one.
And I guess this is why I build my own even though they aren't as fancy or as nice as some on there. At least I know it works and is playable.
