Does anyone still play completely vanilla? (PC/MAC Players)

I've always been curious if anyone else playing vanilla? Have you always played this way or do you go back and forth with Mods and cc from time to time? What do you do to make your vanilla game fun? ...

I do not have CC or mods so far. My plan is to wait until they stop releasing DLC, then get all the mods that will solve my biggest complaints about the game and make the way I want to play easier. In the meantime I am too lazy to download mods and then update them all the time. I know I won't get Sims 5 until it has a few of the usual packs, unless it's online and then not at all, so I'll be playing 4 for a while after the devs move on.
