Does it amaze anybody else how much CC/creators there are?
So I went looking for a certain hair style (still haven't found it) and one thing lead to another, and then about 100 new hairs in my hair CC folder (I don't use them all I just...uh collect for future use lol...maybe...) and well I had to stop because I just kept finding more and more stuff.
What really hits me is HOW MUCH CC is created by the community, so much so that I can't imagine most of it ever gets used. True as I just said sometimes it just comes down to finding that one item your looking for or some extra skin colors, ect - but others I know literally dump it all into their mod folder (WHY?!) without probably even remembering what 1/4 of it is. BUT regardless of that - it just blows my mind how much is created for the sims 4.
Not only that but the sheer amount of creators out their in general, I honestly don't know what it takes to make a new hair mesh or clothing piece. I've converted accessories from other games to the Sims, but thats just a process of literally making it work properly (like a necklace) but besides tattoo's I've never created an object from scratch for the Sims games. Yet there are SO many creators that do!
It really blows my mind to be honest, especially how young so many appear to be (early twenties, ect) and I think thats really cool because it shows an interest in computers in a way that didn't exist with people (especially women) when I was growing up (I'm in my late thirties) which honestly I wish did exist because back then, especially when I was in high school in the late 90's most people had zero interest in computers. Or maybe I'm just really old and have no idea that all young people are computer CC wizards now lol.
Still with all the CC that exists and is being created daily, I also wonder - at one point is there just so much that most of it goes un-noticed and unused?
I mean my CC hair folder archive (where I store all the hair I download) has around 350 unique hairs or variations (braids ect) and of that I'm not using one in my current game lol. I mean...ya...
Yet how many hours have I wasted and will I waste downloading more...its like an addiction!
Maybe its the same for creators, once you start creating you just can't stop!
