Does rain ( from Seasons ) water crops?

I just wanted to know if rain and snow from seasons water your crops. When seasons came out I gave my 4 to 5 families that are serious about growing gardens a greenhouse, so they could have crops for recipes or sell their crops, so I never really found out if rain and snow watered their crops.
