Do you want this for townies or your own Sims? Come back to game and find your Sim is divorced? or moved to a different house? etc.? I would be careful about what I tell devs would be fun. If you just say things like 'I want them to live their own lives when I'm not around my pc', don't be surprised if they think that would be fun, too. Like virtual villagers, come back to half the tribe dead, and or ten more babies.
