Does Seasons mark the beginning of story progression?

I'd love to have story progression, then I could get rid of MCCC, since it's the only thing I use that mod for. I rarely, if ever, use any of the other features of the mod.

I'd hope for it to be optional, and I don't see why it couldn't be. There are toggles for what households can age up. They could just add similar toggles for this feature (and I think they would do it this way, if they ever did) and it'd please most players.
