@comicsforlife, SimGuruGrant is no longer working on TS4, I would assume he is being moved over to TS5 (or whatever). He was on TS4 from 2011- thru the present time. That's less than 2 1/2 years of TS4 before it was released. ( 2011-2014) I don't think they need five years to build a game anymore. They didn't with TS4. This team is being moved around to work on the next Maxis game. It's been a year since we found out they were hiring for a new Maxis game. Put it together. One year gone (in development) and maybe another, I would say we are way past the half way mark (since TS4 will be five in Sept) and I don't believe it will last as long as many think (three more years) because it's my theory they won't take five years to build a new base, or new game. Things have changed, they can do this stuff much faster now. New tech and AI can speed this up even faster. ETA: Don't get me wrong, I want you to enjoy your game. I stopped playing in 2017 or buying. I decided the gameplay, the droughts and the bugs were not worth anymore investment. But I did enjoy some packs. It's the core that grates on my nerves. I get excited to hear rummors about new games, I love animation, and AI. I'm happy to know Maxis is building something, but it doesn't mean I want TS4 players to not get what they have waited on for five years.
ETA: I would have been happier to see you guys get Farming, Cars, Unleashed babies, Road Trips, Exotic Tropical Island Vacantions, Hotels, Theme Parks etc. etc. even schools...you know all that stuff everyone has been hammering about since 2014, instead of that last pack they released.
