Does the "Legacy Edition" of the Sims 4 confirm we are at *least* halfway through The Sims 4's life?

They have made it pretty clear that Sims 4 is going to continue on for years to come. Seeing as they have already run into issues with 32bit with Cats and Dogs and have another 3 years of content planned not to mention 32bit is being phased out this move makes total sense with what they have already planned.
