I think you are right.
I started Making money scenario in gold digger style. My poor girl started in her trailer with just a crabby kitchen and bathroom. She find her first husband to be quikly and they got married. When I moved her in to his house the scenario cancelled. I needed to rethink my story and strategy. So I started all over giving her to big empty mansion using freerealestate cheat (money was still reduced to zero and scenario going strong). Her first fiance is now moved in with all his money and this way it’s working fine.
