I mean the making money scenario hardly needs any programming but needs more time than I'd guess most players spend playing the game on a regular basis - especially when there haven't been any packs that provide new gameplay for quite some time.
Fine with me if that happens; fewer new game packs means less money I'm tempted to spend on the Sims. I have plenty of other games I enjoy playing when I get bored of this one.
ETA: Not sure what "quite some time" means to you, but the Dream Home Decorator game pack came out in June (five months ago) and the Cottage Living expansion pack came out in July (four months ago).
