Don't Complain if You Buy The Pack

my opinion; Scared is a separate free update because they fully expect to nerf the crap out of it. It's one thing that's clear, product guys like Ninja hear a complaint and they are nerf first and maybe talk compromise later. That's why Vampires haven't been the same since 2018, that's why we don't have Shrine bowing, and that's why Scared sims aren't going to be a thing long term. After the stink people made over vampires, I really don't think we'll ever see Burglars. Imagine the first time a sim freaks out over a thunderstorm and sits around screaming incoherently. Most of us will laugh but the few people it annoys are going to hammer away on twitter until that's taken out. I think the Paranormal pack is safe because it seems to be tied to a specific lot type. Hopefully Scared is built with tunability in mind and even if they have to tone it down, it'll still remain somewhat affective to keep haunted house sufficiently creepy to a sim.
