Honestly if you make your decision to purchase Eco Lifestyles or not based entirely on the trailers, you're doing yourself an enormous disservice. This pack is monstrously huge! It's going to touch every single aspect of the game and have an enormous effect on the way you play. Those of you who wanted deep impactful play, well it's here. Just a few things off the top of my head: The materials you choose to build with affect your eco footprintBuilding materials come with a flammability rating now too. Now it matters what kind of flooring you put in front of fireplaces. Don’t forget those stone/brick/ceramic hearths now! Pollution affects the health and happiness not only of your played sims but all sims in the world You can have an impact on your neighborhood and be impacted by it as well They have added dynamic animations to the world maps that show the pollution levels in all neighborhoods in all worlds except the vacation worlds. they added 4 new sim traits, new lot traits, new aspirations, and venue/lot types. There are BB items you cannot buy, you have to actively collect items and ingredients to craft them yourself. you have complete control over all of the pack features, it's completely open as to how you choose to play. NPC firefighters are back! There's a new itemized billing system (free update) Ladders, and no the don't only slide down that's just one option (One ladder is free in the update, one is exclusive to the pack. The functionality of both is the same) Inventory is now sortable (free update) Itemized household bills This list is only some of the features of this pack, it seriously isn't even half of it, in fact I am going to have to re-watch the livestream to really get my arms around everything they put into this EP. Seriously, clear a couple hours of your time, grab snacks and a drink and dive into the livestream. Don't judge Eco Lifestyles by the trailers. You MUST see the livestream!

Honestly if you make your decision to purchase Eco Lifestyles or not based entirely on the trailers, you're doing yourself an enormous disservice. This pack is monstrously huge! It's going to touch every single aspect of the game and have an enormous effect on the way you play. Those of you who wanted deep impactful play, well it's here. Just a few things off the top of my head:

The materials you choose to build with affect your eco footprint

It really was amazing, they really did do a deep dive, and they were having a really good time to boot! I am definitely going to watch it again tonight and maybe again tomorrow. I still haven’t gotten my arms around all the stuff that’s in this pack.

I don't understand this comment. Do you think they mod the game to make it look better than it actually is? :lol: What you see is what you get - I don't see how they are any different to non-EA players. It's the same gameplay and the same features. I didn't like the DU livestream myself, but this one is much better. I really recommend watching it!

I was in literal awe watching this and I swear at one point I teared up. I love sims 4 but have we ever seen this kind of detail in a expansion? I’m just blown away and can’t wait for June 5.

The DU livestream was awful. It felt like the Simguru that hosted the DU livestream was embarrassed of the pack (and she should be) and didn‘t want to show anything. I really enjoyed this EL livestream though.

Edit: I don‘t trust the Game Changers neither.

I really liked that you could see that SimguruGeorge had experience hosting live meetings. He was using a headset, he had prepared everything beforehand, he had a plan on how to show everything, he invited every simguru to talk in order and they adjusted the volume, he talked clearly and did not raise or lower his voice when talking, he introduced everyone when it was their time to talk, it also looked like he was streaming from a PC with a real webcam and not a laptop.
