- I’m starting to like it the more I see it!! The decor is actually really nice and I like a lot of the clothes we’ve seen so far ❤️
- Daephene14 years agoSeasoned AceI keep seeing people say it's not new gameplay, just BB. But actually, it turns building into gameplay, which is going to be perfect for a lot of people. The satisfaction and reputation with customers is an element that you don't get with just building. Some who prefer live mode will enjoy building more in that context, and some who prefer build mode will fins themselves playing more often. But of course it won't be for everyone.
I'm still afraid the preferences will be random and most pre-existing sims will get ones that totally don't suit them, but I am not without hope that I will be wrong about that.
I hope it comes with a world with some hideous houses to make over. - ShopGirl984 years agoSeasoned AceI'm sorry to ruin the positivity thread, but after thinking about it, it turns out I do have a very big problem with this pack. They state you can have a career as an "Interior Decorator", yet I can't seem to not refer to it as "Interior Designer". I simply can't spend my money on this game!
(I'm joking, of course, I'd buy it tomorrow I could)."Daephene;c-17886030" wrote:

This is how I feel too. I split my time in Sims pretty evenly between building and "actually" playing, so combining the two in this pack is pretty perfect for me. - @Daephene , very same with the first part of your post :)
For the second part, I am afraid of that also, but at least those wishes at Pancake household looked like it suited them :) - I mean, after all.. pink clashes with red hair , what Eliza has, and they are not in to anything goth, and Bob has nothing to say, as usual :p
- ADashofAsh904 years agoSeasoned AceI am beyond ecstatic for this! The Sims 3 version was one of my favorites, and I literally decorate and use CAS the most!!!
- ADashofAsh904 years agoSeasoned AceDoes anyone know what university degree you think this would fall under? Wasn't sure if it could maybe be in Fine Arts or Art History.

My guess would be Fine Art, like the Stylist career. - Chicklet453684 years agoSeasoned Ace

That's exactly how I feel. I'm not a big live player because I really just don't like the simplicity of the sims and how they react and that I have to literally "direct" every aspect of their lives instead of them showing me what they want to do by their autonomous behavior.
So I spend time renovating worlds and lots and houses for stories I've created in my head, all ready to play and get excited for it, and then once I'm actually in live mode I'm like ok, so now it's just point and click, you do this, you do that ... why are you doing that? That's totally the opposite of your traits I assigned you, etc. Then I get frustrated and close the game.
So this pack will help me to achieve both things, the enjoyment from building/decorating while having goals and restrictions to keep it interesting. It's a lot different to decorate when being told what a person wants and keeping it within a budget as opposed to just freely decorating and ignoring the cost of it like you do when just building/decorating. Gaining reputation for jobs well done, etc. will also make me want to achieve that higher reputation.
So yeah, for me it forces me to "play" but also keeps my interest by making my game play be about something I do enjoy doing.
And I know this is not for everybody, but I am super happy with it.
There has been a ton ... A TON, of packs/kits that haven't made me excited, just a mehhh it's ok. As a matter of fact the only packs that actually made me happy when announced were C&D, Seasons, and Parenthood. The rest were just, it's ok, I'm sure I will find a use for it some day. (except for Jtb). - OEII10014 years agoSeasoned AceI apologize in advance if I am speaking out of turn or if my question is inappropriate, but is the general consensus that the "preferences" referenced are along the lines of the additional personality options from previous iterations? Or do we just not know yet?
