Same plus I don't see how the game really works online to be quite honest. "Oh let's go and see each other's worlds". I don't get how the mechanics would work and it would just feel weird. Sims 4 is supposed to be you ruling over your world. Be kinda odd having a joint experience. Like, the only game that I can say has done this successfully in its genre was probably Animal Crossing but even then, that online feature has always been very limited.
It's doesn't work as I said - we have had 4 versions of Sims online - in fact it is nothing like our game. There is no cheats, no cc, no mods - no buys any packs - but paying cash for every piece of furniture or earning it or clothing. No creativity - 1 house 1 pre-made sims and hopefully in time you can earn up to 4 more sims. All sims were adults - no kids. no marriages, just tons of skilling to earn things and levels and experience. You could talk to other sims with your sim and skill together in a central skilling area, It is very boring and stressful game and as I said nothing like we have.
EA provides the world and we can not change anything about it - houses - you got one small base house that took every dime of your base credit. Look up some of the You tubes from the various Sims online and see for yourself - they tried 3 versions of Sims online and finally a 4th version called EA land - that one did not even last 6 weeks and ea pulled it. Funny that was the only one that was free to download (the original version was 12.99), didn't have monthly 10 dollar charge to be on line, and they even claimed simmers could use EA approved cc - which never happened either really - it could only be decor anyway from what I heard was all got approved.
Nobody of regular players anyway liked it - the highest number of people they got to play was 2000 people around the world which did not pay for itself - so they kept taking it down.
They cannot make the game we play - play online though - so it has to be the one ea world for everybody - no packs, and dlc was limited to what you could use in your house. Visiting sims never came in the house - they would talk either out on the sidewalk or in different buildings that were in the game as gathering places for our sims to skill at - and there was no cheats to skill faster - and it was way slower than in our games at normal speed.
The most annoying thing of all is once a player signed in - if they left the game - the sim stayed there - like a statue - not moving - not doing anything - was a real pain when people left the game and didn't go back to their home - you got stuck with all these sims just standing around being road blocks.
Anyway after 6 years of trying EA finally dismantled everything when EA land even with no charge for the game and no subscription charge couldn't even draw in the 600 players after 5 weeks..... I mean it was the 4th time launching that game and even the first one was made by Will Wright and Simmers hated all 4 - except for a small handful.
This is one of the central areas where your sims could skill and talk.
