Truth is we know how it goes, the ones that were around for Sims 1 paid for that, then Up comes Sims 2 well yea the money for Sims 1, is gone. The simmers that paid for each iteration of Sims 2 had their fun and yea that money has left your pocket. Next came Sims 3, simmers bought each iteration of the Sims 3. A lot of them bought every pack and everything possible to buy in the store. Yea little by little your entertainment is pulling money from your pocket.
We know how to Play EA game and we play it well don't we?.
Let's not cry like they took our money, No we gave them our money. lol and was happy to do so.
So when Sims 4 came out most of us wanted that as well, its been years now and no we do not put the game down, even if we do not like it we stay and fight for them to make us like it, and to do that we must pay for the next iteration of Sims 4, Now this has been going on for what 18 years? Are we going to stop Playing Sims games Nope? because we only pay a little at a time.
You will not find the passion for a game like the simmers passion for the Sims iterations of Sims games.
(If I was in the costly online world and I had paid 200$ per. /month for my land after about a year I think wow I paid 2400 into this world just to own my own city or roleplay.) But the point is if you stop paying, you stop playing in that world. Sure you can stay and hang out but no you will never enjoy the world for free. Some people brag oh I never spend money here on my avatar, well everyone already knows that because they look like they dress from free handout shops.
Let me explain why you have it good with the Sims. when we get land in this online world its empty nothing just flat, you must buy or build what you want to be on it even trees whatever.
To own the land myself I bought the land from the owners of the game. for that plot of land, I paid 1,360$ from my checking account. this is real money, but the kicker is that for the rest of my life there I must now pay them 300$ a month to keep the land. Kind of like we pay Taxes on our homes. (I must add the more islands you buy the cheaper it will be per island)
This is why we should not feel too bad we pay little compared to some games. For just as much or more fun. But yes we should complain about the quality of the game if we feel its dropping because if the quality drops low the game could just go away or close. The next iteration should always be better than the last.
At least with the Sims, We do get to keep and enjoy what we have and stop paying if we want. as long as Origin exist. :| Crosses fingers :)
