EA Play - New Sims 4 Experience Speculation

Origin runs in the back ground even when not playing any games on origin. Steam valve doesn't run in the back ground unless you open steam or play a game on steam. I have Avast and it puts origin to sleep when I don't open it and play any games on origin. Avast puts my programs to sleep when I'm not using them and it has never had to do that with steam. In my opinion steam beats origin for not running in the background when it's not open.
The other reason steam beats origin is the games I have on steam are still able to be downloaded, installed, and played even if they're no longer for sale. I bought black and white 2 on origin but I can no longer download, install, and play it. On steam I have folk tale, the kindred, and farmer's dynasty. You can't buy those games on steam but I can download, install, and play them.
Eta. I won't play any online game play in the sims. I'm not interested in online play and not signed up with any facebook, twitter, etc.
