Question, what if you lived in the same country as your child but in a different state, could they share the same copy of the games?
Yea even the kids is talking about the new Game pack. They mostly think its seasons as well.
I searched a little and my earlier answer was actually wrong:
1. When we bought games on discs we only needed the disc in the drive while the game started up. After that we could give the disc to another person in the same room to start the game up on another computer too. So sharing a game with friends or other family was easy if only they were in the same house or room.
2. On Steam we are allowed to share our games with up to 10 friends. We just need to tell Steam who those 10 friends are. Then they can play our games no matter where they are. This is called family sharing.
3. On Origin all our games are now connected to our Origin account too instead of our computer. So transferring our games to another computer is easy. But if we attempt to start the same game up on another computer too then Origin will warn us that this will mean that we get locked out of the game on the first computer.
4. Parents can use their own account to make child accounts for their children. But they can’t share their games even to those child accounts.
Family sharing in Origin is a very desired feature and especially from gamers who use this feature on Steam. But according to EA_Alex from EA’s Origin Team in message #53 on https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Can-you-share-your-game-library-like-in-Steam-on-Origin/td-p/3484361/page/6 it hasn’t been made yet because they still don’t know exactly how to avoid misuse. But they are considering it because they know how much gamers want it.
