SimGuruDuke ‘seems to be’ taking suggestions possibly(?) for a new Sims game. Whether it’s TS5 or not, who’s to say, but this is the closest confirmation I’ve seen that they’re thinking about the next Sims titles.

No - he said on twitter he was working on a new yet unannounced mobile Sims game.
I don't see anything that specific, actually. He was pretty vague. It could be anything under Maxis at all, even a non-Sims title.

It was said the day Daniel posted he was leaving, and people were wondering what other devs were let go or moved to mobile - that's when SGDuke posted he moved to mobile on a new project - but that he was still overseeing the console work but mentioned two other SG's that were actually handling console now. Keep in mind SG Duke is an engineer too - he could work on just about anything and he is very much not new at EA. Very knowledgeable in a lot of areas for sure.
