I have some games wanting 4.9ghz so for them I am under recommended specs technically. I can overclock but I generally rather not -
I too think my neighbor needs a cooling pad - as I already suggested that - but his new X-box seems to have all his attention right now anyway. LOL.
He shoulda bought a PS4 instead xD does he have the newest Xbox? Cause that thing is kind of a beast. Too bad Microsoft hasn't got any exclusives that match the power (for me anyway)
And yes cooling is important, people often forget how essential it is to keeping their laptops alive when gaming. What games do you play that require such high specs? Just curious :D so far my i7 7700 hasn't let me down yet, without overclocking it ^^
Yes the newest X-box - it was a birthday gift from his family (his parents and his brother and sister) a couple weeks ago.
Fallout 4 and all it's additions thus far right now anyway.
I am a stickler for playing Ultimate and right now very high is the best I can do. I have the 8350 cpu and need at least one of the 9000 series to have a steady 4.9 ghz but I go with that I need to upgrade my motherboard as well, and maybe my power supply to. I have 750 watts PS. An expense I am not near being able to meet at this time. We moved into our new house Christmas day - then a month ago our Ford Ranger blew a transmission - so still juggling finances too much to add a pc upgrade yet. lol - but I still play Sims pc games with no issues and a few others right now - so I can wait. MY last rebuild was in Nov. 2015 and I have no issues - so I'll bide my time for now.
