I loved open world in Sims3, but I don't think they can do that with Sims4. My hope is that 5years or whatever down the line that they make Sims5 open world. There are things I really like about Sims4 and I've been playing it more lately than I had been, but Sims3 with it's open worlds and almost endless possibilities is my favorite.
As far as experience, they could be combining something we have had in the past in a different way or with stuff we have never had. I hope it is something that will blow our minds and is for the PC game itself.
