If that's the case there's absolutely nothing stopping them popping in this thread and assuring everyone they are being heard. They *used* to do that-the EA/Maxis silence thread shows that quite clearly.

Just to add on to this, I'm not being an EA fanboy, but I want to explain a few things before anyone feels they're being ignored by Guru's.
As a developer myself, we like feedback, but when we can't deliver because management says no OR because we're not allowed to due to an NDA, it gets hard to read and reply to the same feedback over and over.
As for listening, they've been doing surveys on top of reading the forums, but the amount of resources they can allocate is limited. So they have to find ways to please the most amount of people for a respectable effort. So if you get a feature that will please 20% of the audience, but it takes three times as long to write as something that would please 25% - you'll probably go with option 2.
Threads like this certainly help the chances of pushing it further up the queue, but don't hate on the Guru team or think they're not aware.
I'm not hating on gurus. I've said time and time again I feel sorry for them given the obvious cuts to their budgets and being forced to create and knowing people are disappointed because you were prevented from reaching a full potential because of budgets. As a creative person I know and understand that. I'm always the first to try to stop anyone from falling into 'attacking' anyone.
But purely from a customer service standpoint I think this is important and needs to be addressed before they lose a whole section of their fan base because they feel continually sidelined.
