Eating food in the bedroom

Yes, I have seen that all time. Sometimes several people will be eating in the bedroom. I have one house they have a nice dining room table but they never sit there ever. They either sit at the island bar, bedroom or on a sofa in front of the TV.

There's been a problem since last patch with sims and sitting. My sims won't sit at all now when they eat. On the rare occasion they do, it's to where ever other sims are, the bedroom or office area.

@SparklePlumley - I don't have Vampires so there must be other factors involved.

@feetinstockings - the household where I have the worst problem has a toddler - the family goes and sits on the other child's single bed. Perhaps toddlers have something to do with it.

It must be due to the toddler patch. I updated my game with the patch and then installed vampires one right after the other, so I didn't know which one caused the problem. It obviously is the patch.

So, I see this is from more than a year ago, but I've been having this problem lately as well. In one particular household--they live in the Pier Palace house in Windenburg--periodically Sims will take a meal from the fridge, walk past the dining room table (with high-end, comfy chairs) and sit on the bed in the downstairs bedroom to eat. I've seen them do the same with a beverage. There is never anyone else in the bedroom when they do this, but often there is someone working on the computer in the office next to the bedroom.

So if they're choosing to sit near other Sims, they must be reading that the bed is the closest seat to another Sim, in spite of the fact that the other Sim in question is in the next room! It doesn't happen every time, but it happens often enough to be annoying, especially when they leave their dirty plates on younger sister's dresser.
